The
Misquah Cottage Experience
Any cottage vacation is designed to
be fun-filled, stress free, and above all else relaxing. This
is the aim of the Misquah Cottage Experience. All aspects of the
cottage program are designed to have the clients' needs and desires
come first. As such, wake-up and bedtimes are left to the discretion
of our guests and all activities are guided daily by our guests'
interests. Cards, board games, and swimming are among the favorites
here-as are day trips to historical sites, festivals, and restaurants.
Staff
Like the staff
of Camp Misquah, the staff employed by the Misquah Cottage Experience
are chosen for their experience, skills, and maturity. In addition,
the staff of the cottage program assume many roles. They serve
as friends, aids, cooks, and drivers while the program's director
ensures that each guest receives their medication. The guest-staff
ratio at the cottage is 2:1.
Facilities
The
cottage or the "Barn" as it is affectionately called
is located near Wakefield, Quebec and is designed to provide the
most relaxing vacation possible. With spacious bedrooms that can
accommodate up to 20 people, a large living room, a dining room,
3 bathrooms, and acres land all around it, everything is shared
and enjoyed by all. As well as being close to town, the cottage
is within walking distance to the nearest lake and is only a 10
minute drive to Lac Phillipe.
Transportation
While
at the program the guests' transportation to and from all of our
off site activities is provided by 2 minivans which are also available
in the event of an emergency. Guests are, however, responsible
for their own transportation to and from the cottage.
